HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State University students are dreamers, doers, and innovators. This holiday season, pay it forward to student organizations or projects across FHSU’s campus in need of support.
Giving Tuesday is a global movement encouraging people to support a cause and to be reminded of the power of generosity. Although Giving Tuesday falls on Tuesday, December 3, this year, you can make your gift today. FHSU would love for you to consider impacting students through a campaign called I Fed the Tiger. Every donation made to this campaign directly impacts Fort Hays State students.
This year, the I Fed the Tiger campaign is promoting 16 projects or student organizations in need of help. Choose a cause that’s meaningful to you, whether it’s helping to cover expenses for students to attend a conference, conduct research, or purchase essential equipment.
Visit ifedthetiger.com and check out the student organizations and projects needing support this year. You’ll find everything from art history and medical diagnostic imaging to tourism and hospitality management. Cally Anderson, an FHSU tourism and hospitality management student, had the opportunity to attend a research conference last year thanks to the generosity of others.
“The research conference helped me to not only grow my research skills but to develop my undergraduate networking and presenting skills,” said Anderson. “This experience ignited my passion for research and allowed me to apply the skills I learned to my current graduate classes. I express my gratitude to those who made it possible for me to gain this hands-on experience.”
Other campus groups like the Honors College, Encounter, Alpha Kappa Psi, Phi Alpha Theta, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and Phi Kappa Phi are also requesting donations.
By supporting FHSU students this Giving Tuesday, you’re not just making a gift — you’re investing in their future and fueling their ambitions. Visit ifedthetiger.com to learn more and contact the FHSU Foundation at foundation@fhsu.edu or 785-628-5620 with any questions.
