National Online Learning Day
National Online Learning Day is September 15th, and FHSU Online wants to hear from you! To celebrate, we want to give away 10 FHSU Online Care Packages and showcase Tiger-2-Tiger, FHSU’s platform for online student interaction.
Tiger-2-Tiger is a virtual space by students and for students. Think of it as the hallway outside the virtual classroom. Here, you can more casually connect with other students, share ideas, swap stories, and find help.
To get to Tiger-2-Tiger:
- Log on to Blackboard.
- Click on the Tiger-To-Tiger Community link on your homepage (see screenshot below).
Reputation Points
When you participate in the Tiger-2-Tiger community you earn ‘reputation points.’ There are three categories in reputation - starting conversations, responding to conversations, and looking/reacting to things - and you get extra points when other students view/react to your posts. If a conversation on one of these questions already is happening, jump in! And feel free to keep discussions on your own questions going!
FHSU Online will look at all the activities that happened during September 15 (Central Time) over these questions and award the 10 care packages to the most engaged online students based on reputation points earned!
To participate in the giveaway, sign in to Tiger-2-Tiger on September 15. Below is a list of the primary ‘Topic Areas’ currently available in the Tiger-2-Tiger community along with a list of potential conversation starters. You can use one of the suggested conversation starters or make one of your own. Just make sure to tag your post with #NOLD23 (National Online Learning Day). Let’s connect!
