My research project was how the Triple Bottom Line effects venues and event planning as a whole. I went through the profit, people, and planet of events, using hypotheticals to apply the research to an event.

I had the privilege to present my research in New Orleans at the ACME conference in front of scholars and other students completing research. I was able to gain more insight through the questions of the people who watched me present, from scholars throughout the conference, and through others presentations. Afterward I was able to make friends with other presenters, and was able to have deeper and further conversations about our findings throughout the week.

After I graduate, I plan on becoming an event planner, while also running Airbnbs. This research experience helps me prepare for my future as I want to enter the career field being planet-conscious, while also making sure to continue research over things that are important to me. This research helped me gain tools on how to effectively research that applies directly to what I want to learn.

I recommend other students to get involved in research because it is a great learning experience. By completing my research, I was given the opportunity to extend my knowledge, comfort zone, and so much more. I was able to travel to New Orleans to present my paper in front of scholars, and fellow students, created life-long professional relationships, and am able to take this knowledge with me into my career.
