Answers
Registration Information
1. What is myFHSU app in Workday?
myFHSU app is FHSU's web portal where you sign-in to access financial information, academic information, FHSU Mail, and other online services through your own customizable home page.
2. What is the difference between pre-registration and registration?
Pre-Registration is when you select courses in TigerEnroll and submit them for advisor approval. This temporarily secures your classes. Registration is when you complete the Registration/Payment tab in TigerEnroll, selecting your payment method and permanently securing your approved classes, also referred to as finalizing registration. More information can be found on the Student Fiscal Services Registration page.
3. When can I pre-register?
Pre-registration dates are based on your classification and can be viewed by semester on the Academic Calendar. We encourage you to begin planning your schedule with your advisor prior to the first day you are eligible to pre-register.
4. When do I register (finalize registration)?
Once your advisor approves your schedule, you are encouraged to finalize your registration at the first opportunity. It is extremely important not to miss the registration deadlines which are available on the Academic Calendar and on the TigerEnroll Registration/Payment tab according to the semester selected. If you fail to finalize your registration by the deadline, all pre-registered classes will be removed from your schedule.
5. How do I register (finalize registration)?
We have an online registration process for your convenience and security. Log into TigerEnroll to review your schedule and follow the step-by-step registration instructions. You must resolve registration holds prior to finalizing registration and making payment arrangements.
6. I have a hold on my account. What should I do?
A hold placed on your account by Student Fiscal Services is usually the result of past due charges. You will need to bring your account current by taking care of the outstanding charges on myFHSU app so the holds can be removed. Contact us for more information at 800-628-FHSU (option 8, then option 2), 785-628-5251 or sfsmail@fhsu.edu. If you have other holds, contact the department at the phone number listed.
7. How do I add/drop classes on my schedule?
You will add and drop classes in Workday using the Add/Drop Procedures. Add and drop deadlines can be found on the Academic Calendar. Classes added after initial registration is completed are automatically finalized, and you are responsible for payment through myFHSU app.
8. Are there any consequences to dropping my class(es)?
There may be! You will want to check the Academic Calendar to see what percentage refund you will be eligible for.
Dropping your current classes may affect your current and future financial assistance. Review our Financial Aid Policies.
In addition, you may be required to pay back financial assistance you received for the current semester. Check out our Return to Title IV Policy and Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
Payment/Refund Information
1. Where can I find information about Tuition & Fees?
Our current Tuition & Fee Schedule is located at Tuition & Fees.
2. What are my payment options when I finalize registration?
We honor our commitment to assisting students and their families in meeting their financial obligations to the University by offering several payment options.
3. How much do I owe?
Monitor your account balance in myFHSU app under "Financials" tab to remain current with your payments. It is your responsibility to check your Account Balance and the due dates posted to avoid late fees and other financial consequences.
4. What happens if my credit/debit card is rejected?
Your registration or online payment will not be completed. If you are using a debit card, you may need to contact your bank to increase the daily limit. Alternatively, select a different method of payment.
5. When are tuition installments, residential life (housing) payments, and other university payments due?
Check your Account Balance in myFHSU app under "Financials" tab for payments that are due. In addition, take a look at the list of upcoming Important Dates for information to help you avoid late fees and other financial consequences.
6. I don't know why I have charges on my account. Who should I talk to?
Give us a call and we'll gladly explain the charges on your account at 800-628-FHSU (option 8, then option 2) or 785-628-5251.
7. How is tuition refunded for dropped classes?
Tuition refunds will be processed back to the same payment type that was used when finalizing registration. Tuition refunds will first be applied towards other outstanding charges before being refunded to the student. Tuition refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) days of the schedule drop. Tuition refunds to students who receive federal financial aid will be reviewed by the Financial Assistance and Student Fiscal Services offices to determine whether repayment to federal programs is required prior to release of the tuition refunds to students.
8. What are my refund options for excess financial assistance?
Excess financial assistance will be made available using the refund option you selected when finalizing registration. Student Fiscal Services reserves the right to select a refund option for you.
