Dr. Vinod Srivastava is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Fort Hays State University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. Dr. Srivastava has a diverse background with higher education in Social Work, Philosophy, Gerontology, and Developmental disabilities. He maintains his licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Kentucky and has 13 years of clinical experience before joining the academia. His association with many prestigious institutions providing trauma-informed clinical care to children, adolescents, adults, and families in different states inform his research interests and academic work. His broader research interests involve trauma, resilience, social neuroscience, integrative health, cyber technologies, and quality management. Dr. Srivastava currently serves on the editorial boards of Annals of Neurosciences (Sage Journals) and Journal of Integrative Medicine Case Reports and is a reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals. He has published in several peer-reviewed journals and presented at several national conferences. He believes in creating academic environments responsive to promoting resilience and cultural intentionality and chairs the Tilford Group.
