Jennifer Colby, M.S.

Jennifer Colby completed a bachelor's degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 2009 with a MS in Social Work. She teaches virtual classes, and last semester, she taught a class on-campus at Fort Hays State University.
Jennifer is currently employed at High Plains Mental Health as an outpatient therapist specializing in substance abuse treatment. She also does assessments, evaluations, group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy. Jennifer provides assessments, individual therapy, and group therapy to adolescents at KVC Wheatland. Jennifer has been working in the mental health field for over 18 years, and she especially enjoys working with women's issues, loss & grief issues, trauma, SPMI adults, dual diagnosis clients, and addictions. Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor, Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, and Substance Abuse Professional.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hunting, fishing, and playing cards. She is married, and she has two boys, ages nine and twelve.
