Judith L. Bragger, Ph.D.
Adjunct Instructor
Judith Bragger completed her doctorate, master's and bachelor's degrees in Sociology with an emphasis in the Life Course at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. For her doctorate research, she created a mixed methods study, utilizing both surveys and interviews, focused on the impact of the sorority experience on gender, ethnic, and religious identity construction. This study encompassed most of her research areas of interest in sociology: qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, the life course, gender, religion, and family. Judith also has a strong interest in media and society, utilizing media references as much as possible in teaching her courses at FHSU. Currently she is teaching Sociology of the Family, Stepfamilies, and Sociology of Death and Dying in both a 16 and 8 week format through FHSU Online.
In her spare time, Judith enjoys consumption of all things pop culture. She particularly enjoys introducing her two young sons to Disney animated classics, the Star Wars trilogies and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When not in front of the television, Judith can be found being an active Scout mom with her sons.
