Cost and Application
Cost: To attract the brightest young business minds from across the country, we have made this camp worth your while...there is no registration fee! In fact, we will give you a travel stipend, which is intended to offset expenses you will incur getting to and from Hays, KS.
Eligibility: This camp is open to students entering grades 10-12, with preference given to those entering the 12th grade.
Application: The application consists of a completed form and a letter of recommendation from a business teacher who has worked with the student. The recommendation should address (1) your experience and strengths as a student of business and (2) how you will benefit from participation in the FHSU’s Entrepreneurship Camp.
The letter should be sent by the teacher to:
FHSU’s Entrepreneurship Camp
Attn: Dr. Robert Lloyd
Department of Management
600 Park Street, Hays, KS 6760
The completed application should be sent or a scanned copy e-mailed by the student to the same address. Priority Deadline is March 1st, 2018.
Applicants will be chosen based upon their strengths in business and the benefits they would be expected to receive. In addition, preference will be given to students who have just completed their junior or senior year of high school at the end of this year. Students who are accepted will be notified by e-mail during the week of March 15th, 2017.
Acceptance to Entrepreneurship Camp means all expenses are paid, including lodging in the newly-constructed entrepreneurship residence hall (The Dane G. Hansen Scholarship Hall), as well as all meals, snacks, and a travel stipend. Each student is sponsored by a private grant awarded to The Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship.
Registration is limited to 30 scholars. All accepted students will be required to confirm their intent to attend by telephone or e-mail by April 15. Students who do not confirm their intentions to attend will be dropped from the roster so that others can attend.
