Dr. Robert Lloyd, D.B.A., M.B.A. (program director)
Dr. Lloyd teaches management courses at FHSU and enjoys infusing practical applications and common sense life lessons into the complexity of the business concepts of each class. Dr. Lloyd brings ten years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience. In addition to private-industry consulting, he also managed his own fertilizer merchandising firm and real estate investments. He worked for six years as a commodities marketer for Koch Industries in Wichita, KS, spent several summers on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska as an outdoor adventure guide and manager, and served one season as auxiliary staff at McMurdo Station in Antarctica.
Steven Rydin, M.B.A.
A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Steven Rydin is a marketing specialist at Retirement Living and a former marketing professor at Oral Roberts University. He launched his own marketing firm in 2011 to help clients with their internet marketing, database management, and social media needs. He finds the topic of entrepreneurship to be both a challenging and rewarding adventure. He strives to help students and peers become competent businesspeople in today’s dynamic marketplace.
Dr. Dan Thoman, D.B.A, M.B.A.
Dr. Dan Thoman graduated at the top of his class at the Ordnance Officer Basic Course and served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army as a certified military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician. While deployed overseas, Dr. Thoman supervised the safe completion of over 800 EOD combat missions. He currently works as a project manager for PAE, a government services provider, and also serves as a member of the adjunct faculty for the George Mason University School of Business, located in Fairfax, VA. Dr. Thoman embodies the concept of “corporate entrepreneur” by demonstrating the innovation, perseverance, diligence, focus on value creation, and humility that characterizes any successful entrepreneur.
