K-INBRE Submission Guidelines
Student Awards:
Proposal Format:
In addition to the completed registration form, the following documents must be submitted through REDCap in a single PDF file.
* Letter of Support from the K-INBRE Campus Coordinator
* Scientific Research Plan not to exceed one-page
* Budget (Additional information available at www.K-INBRE.org)
* Curriculum vitae for the trainee: Include career goals and plans for graduate school
* NIH-style Biographical sketch for the mentor.
* Copy of student's current transcript
* Vertebrate Animals/Human Subjects approvals (if applicable).
Note: To ensure timely submission, please have submission materials to the K-INBRE Campus Coordinator one week prior to submission so as letters of support can be generated. Also note the Star Trainee Award has a different submission deadline.
Proposal Submission Deadline:
Awards: Bioinformatics Scholar, Community Based Scholar, Summer/Semester Scholar, & Translational Research Scholar
March 15th, 5:00 pm (or the next business day, if the deadline falls on a weekend or a holiday).
Proposed Budget Start Date: May 1, Start date is contingent on receipt of Notice of Award and NIGMS administrative project approval (if required).
Award: Star Trainee
April 1st, 5:00 pm (or the next business day, if the deadline falls on a weekend or a holiday).
Award: Mini-Grants (Campus Coordinator Office)
June 1st, 5:00 pm (or the next business day, if the deadline falls on a weekend or a holiday). submitted to the campus coordinator.
Proposed Budget Start Date: May 1, Start date is contingent on receipt of Notice of Award and NIGMS administrative project approval (if required).
Project End Date: April 30, of the following year all funds must be spent or encumbered.
