About John:
John Ross began his career at FHSU during 1989 as a personal computer technician and manager. After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Master of Science degree in Political Science, Mr. Ross served the university in several administrative roles that included Director of Special Academic Projects, Assistant to the Provost for Quality Improvement, and Director of Forsyth Library. After retiring as a full-time employee during 2014, John welcomed a new opportunity as the business analyst and change management lead for Sunflower Electric Power Corporation. His responsibilities for Sunflower include process analysis and mapping, change management, project management, and strategy execution.
Mr. Ross has taught undergraduate and graduate students at Fort Hays State University as an adjunct faculty member since 2004. His most recent courses include:

- American Foreign Policy
- Citizenship and Immigration
John received the University’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Adjunct Faculty of the Year award during 2017.
John has also works as a freelance writer and editor for major corporations such as Cadence, Altium, Motion Industries, United Rentals, KPMG, and Pure Storage. He has written books, case studies, white papers, articles, and blogs about electronic components and systems, printed circuit design, sustainability in the electronics industry, industrial technologies, information technologies, safety, and management. John has given presentations at regional and national conferences about topics ranging from the early history of experimental flight to change management and process excellence. His hobbies include scale spacecraft modeling and tennis.
