About Jian
Dr. Jian Sun joined Political Science Programs in 2007 as an Assistant Professor. He was tenured and promoted to Associate Professor in 2013 and became a Professor in 2018. In the department, he teaches research methods and public administration courses. His personal research interests include housing prices, urban developmental policies, and public administration. He has published articles in Environment and Planning A: Economy and Space, Journal of Real Estate Literature, Real Estate Economics, and Journal of Current Chinese Affairs.
Dr. Sun also worked at the Docking Institute of Public Affairs as a research scientist from 2007 to 2017. He became the assistant director in 2017. His responsibilities at the Docking Institute include survey design, survey administration, data analysis, and report writing. He has been the lead researcher for a variety of projects involving feasibility studies, health needs assessments, program evaluation, public opinion surveys, and housing studies.
