Group Mentoring Opportunities
There are several group mentoring events that are offered by our department. For specific dates, times, and locations for upcoming events, students are encouraged to regularly check FHSU Allied Health social media pages (Facebook and Instagram) and FHSU student email.
Freshmen Orientation - Early Fall Semester - August 16, 2024 10:00am - 11:00am
Specific to incoming freshmen with information regarding our department, programs, and the mentor program.
Ice Cream Social - Early Fall Semester - August 29, 2024 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Includes all departmental (pre-program and program) students. Peer mentoring opportunity for pre-program students to meet and discuss any questions with current program students. Faculty mentors are also available for mentoring opportunities.
Fall Program Information Night - Fall Semester - TBD
Includes all pre-program students. Activity and information relative to RT, DMS, MDI, and Graduate program information. Peer mentoring opportunity with an interactive Q&A panel of current program students.
Career Pathways Expert Panel - Fall Semester - TBD
Includes all departmental students. Career exploration and networking opportunities with an interactive Q&A panel of area technologists working in various positions, modalities, and regions.
Fall Program Information Night - Fall Semester - TBD
Includes all pre-program students! Program application process, and general program information relative to both the Radiologic Technology and Diagnostic Medical Sonography Programs will be shared. Group, peer, and individual mentoring opportunities will be available with an interactive Q&A with faculty mentors and program students.
Spring Program Information Night - Spring Semester - TBD
Includes all pre-program students. Program preparation activity and information available regarding application, interview, and selection process for RT and DMS programs prior to upcoming application deadlines.
