Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education
The opportunity to observe art classes in a "real world setting"-in one of their first semesters-helps students decide if teacher education is well suited to their goals. Once in the program, art education courses prepare them to teach grades Pre-K through 12 in a safe environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.
These specialized classes not only focus on art materials, innovative projects, and incorporation of technology but also issues of diversity, special needs, ongoing professional growth, and opportunities for involvement with school and community. The student teaching experience includes both elementary and secondary settings which opens more career options upon graduation.
