Resources/Expected Family Contribution
The Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is a term used to express the dollar amount that a family is expected to contribute to a student's education. This figure is determined by the federal government using the information reported on the FAFSA. While completion of the FAFSA is the only way to have an official EFC calculated, you can have an estimated EFC calculated by using the Federal Student Aid Estimator.
