FAFSA on the Web
Using FAFSA on the Web helps eliminate some of the paperwork involved with applying for financial aid. Applications on the Web are totally safe, convenient and easy to use. Complete instructions are at the site and help is always available. However, sometimes questions arise while completing the FAFSA. If you have a question that isn't addressed within the site or regarding FHSU's specific policies, feel free to contact our office. If you want to begin exploring your financial aid options and get an early start on the financial aid process, the Federal Student Aid Estimator is for you! By using the Federal Student Aid Estimator, you and your family will receive an early estimate of eligibility for federal student aid. This website provides you with an opportunity to increase your knowledge of the financial aid process, become familiar with the various types of federal student aid that are available and investigate other sources of aid, such as grants and scholarships.

This publication describes the different types of Federal Financial Aid, aid eligibility and addresses some special circumstances. (Note: The Student Guide is published by the U.S. Department of Education and outlines general financial aid policies. Specific policies can vary between educational institutions.)

An FHSU compilation of scholarship resources on the web.

On-line Selective Services Registration
All males 18 years of age or over are required by law to register for Selective Service. This is also a requirement that must be met in order for financial aid to be awarded. (This is optional - not required - for females over 18.)

List of Title IV School Codes
A Title IV School Code is needed in order for the FAFSA to be completed. FHSU's Title IV Code is 001915.

Free online financial literacy course for students.

Officer Candidate School Officer Candidate School (OCS) is the U.S. Army's main training academy for prospective Army Officers. The school is generally open to qualified enlisted service members, Noncommisioned Officers, and civilians who hold at least a four-year college degree. Candidates who successfully complete the rigorous, 12-week school receive formal commissions in the KSARNG as Second Lieutenants.
