Non-Degree Seeking Students
Fort Hays State University (FHSU), a regionally accredited university, has historically offered credit-bearing courses in Shanghai, China, during the summer months. Beginning in Summer 2020, this special program transitioned online due to the pandemic and continues to be delivered in an online format. FHSU faculty offer a variety of undergraduate courses that fulfill degree requirements at institutions in the U.S., Australia, Canada, and beyond.
All courses are listed in the FHSU undergraduate course catalog as regular offerings and adhere strictly to the University's academic policies, standards, and learning outcomes. They maintain identical course content and rigor as those delivered on-campus in Hays, KS. Upon course completion, students receive official transcripts from the FHSU Registrar’s Office, facilitating transfer to their home institutions.
All courses are offered directly by FHSU and taught by FHSU faculty, not through any third-party educational service provider. Students are admitted as non-degree-seeking students through the FHSU International Student Admission Office. They are issued FHSU identification numbers, which grant them access to the University's technology and library resources.
