International Welcome Week (IWW) is an event designed for incoming and transfer international students joining the Tiger community at FHSU. Throughout this week, our focus is on helping you to thrive both academically and socially, ensuring a seamless transition into campus life.
What to bring:
- Tiger Card: Student ID card.
- I-20 and passport: important immigration documents.
- Laptop: for workshops and information sessions.
- Water: drink lots of water to stay hydrated. This is important for the TB test.
Here is what to expect during IWW:
- EXPLORE campus and community – learn where your classrooms will be, what activities and events are available on campus for you to participate in when not in the classroom, and explore our quiet yet vibrant community.
- RECEIVE important immigration information – learn what you need to know about staying in status to make the most of your time at FHSU. Immigration is a complicated topic; we are here to help you navigate the immigration regulations.
- MEET FHSU administration, faculty, staff, and students, including the Global Affairs and International Student Services Office team – the TIGER FAMILY!
- LEARN about resources and services available for student success. FHSU is here to serve you. Whether you need assistance navigating the English language, want to reduce your stress with exercise, or get involved with organizations and other students – FHSU has opportunities just for you.
