Who we are
The Department of Psychology at Fort Hays State University is an award-winning department. We have 13 full-time faculty with expertise in the broad areas of clinical, school, and experimental psychology. Faculty research interests include examining mental health stigma, judgment and decision making, mindfulness, forgiveness, development of moral reasoning, and much more.
We are also fortunate to have many talented part-time faculty who teach with us. These faculty help us offer a wide range of online courses to our students through the world. And, to help you reach your goals, our office employs key staff, including fantastic student workers, to help you get from freshman year to graduation. In the Department of Psychology you will learn from kind and accessible experts in a wide range of fields, and those experiences will be crucial in your future career, whether you wish to go into the world and improve mental health, or if you wish to advance the field of psychology through groundbreaking research.
