Kansas Career Workstudy

The Kansas Career Workstudy Program is a state-funded program intended to provide employers incentive to hire FHSU students in career-related positions. Because of the nature of this program, most of the Kansas Career Workstudy jobs are located off campus (in Hays or surrounding communities).
Eligibility Requirements for Kansas Career Workstudy
To participate in the Kansas Career Workstudy Program students must be:
- a resident of the State of Kansas,
- registered in six or more credit hours per fall/spring semester
- in good academic standing at FHSU, and
- have a current FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file with the FHSU Financial Assistance Office.
Finding a Kansas Career Workstudy Job
Students interested in the Kansas Career Workstudy Program will need to contact the Financial Assistance Office for eligibility determination and available job opportunities. It is your responsibility to contact employers who have vacancies and go through their application/interview process.
Paperwork & Paychecks
Once the agreement and paperwork between the Kansas Career Workstudy employer and the Financial Assistance Office is completed, you may begin working at your new job. The hiring Kansas Career Workstudy employer is your primary employer and will process your payroll paperwork and issue your paychecks.
