Whether you are taking online courses for the first time or are new to FHSU, we have resources to help you every step of the way. From learning how to use your courses to getting involved in the FHSU community, these resources are here to help you.
When you sign up, you’ll get access to the Online Student Orientation, Student Success Workshops, and Tiger-2-Tiger – all designed to help you succeed.
The Online Student Orientation helps international students taking online courses at FHSU. It is available anytime and covers:
- Meet Your Support Team: Learn about the people who can help you, like academic advisors, library staff, and the online success team.
- Starting Smart: Learn how to use your courses, understand your syllabus, and use Blackboard for assignments and discussions.
- Study Resources: Find resources to help you, get tips for writing discussion questions, taking tests, and using Honorlock for test proctoring.
- Online Learning Tips: Learn how to set goals, manage your time, and stay productive.
- Join the Community: Find student groups and activities to meet classmates and get involved at FHSU.
These workshops are short, online sessions (10 to 60 minutes) to help you with online learning. Topics include:
- Career and academic advice
- Learning tips
- Time management and productivity
- Reading and writing skills
Tiger-2-Tiger is an online space created by students. You can connect with classmates, share ideas, and get help from other students.
