Benefits
Employees are eligible for benefits when:
- Faculty and Unclassified Professional Staff (exempt and non-exempt) - appointed to either a full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (.5 FTE or more) regular position.
- University Support Staff (exempt and non-exempt) - appointed to either a full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (.48 FTE or more) regular position requiring at least 1,000 hours of compensable service per year.
Benefits eligible employees can participate in all of the following benefits programs:
- State Employee Health Plan (SEHP) includes health insurance, dental coverage, supplemental vision plans, prescription drug coverage, dependent and health care flexible spending accounts, and a health savings account or health reimbursement account associated with the Plan C high deductible health plan.
- Mandatory retirement.
- Death and disability.
- Basic and optional group life insurance.
If you are not benefits eligible, you may be eligible for coverage under the SEHP if you meet eligibility requirements under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
