Non-Degree Seeking Students

Submit all required admission documents by the required term deadline. Allow for extra shipping time when mailing documents.
STEP 1 - Complete Non-Degree Application
The application cannot be saved. Students must pay a $50 non-refundable application fee (final step) for application submission. Payment can be made by credit card or local bank card. Students should verify with their local bank or credit card company that intentional transactions can be made.
STEP 2 - Submit Passport ID Page
Student must provide a clear copy of their current passport ID page. Copies can be emailed to International Student Services.
STEP 3 - Guest Letter or Visa
- Guest Letter - Students in the U.S. on another institutions I-20 who want to take a guest class at FHSU must request a guest letter from their home institution's International Office and submit along with a current copy of the I-20 first page.
- Visa - Students who are in the U.S. not attending another college or university must submit a copy of their Visa.
- Visa will be reviewed to determine eligibility of registering for course(s).
Documents can be submitted to the International Student Services Office.
STEP 4 - Transcripts
- UNOFFICIAL transcript from the U.S. institution where you are currently attending is acceptable for admission only – no credit will be transferred.
- OFFICIAL transcript is needed to determine if pre-requisite requirements have been satisfied. Transcripts must be sent by issuing school to Fort Hays State University.
STEP 5 - Language Requirements
- Complete 24+ academic credit hours (during last two years) at accredited post secondary institution in the United States and satisfy cumulative GPA admission requirements. Submit transcript for verification.
- OR submit official copy of acceptable language test score as described on Language Requirements webpage.
