What do I need to apply to the MPS program? When you decide to apply, here is the admission process.
What is the cost of the MPS in Organizational Leadership? We take pride in having affordable tuition for undergraduates and graduates at Fort Hays State University.
Are there additional costs for the MPS degree program? There will be minimal textbook costs. The cost for each class will differ; however, faculty members are mindful of book expenses when selecting course material
Can I complete the MPS degree completely online? Yes, all of our courses are offered online. Here is a link to our Course rotations.
How do online classes work? Online classes work through the online website Blackboard. This course management tool will give you access to your courses along with the materials and information you will need to be successful in your classes. Here is the link to sign into Blackboard.

Will I get to know my faculty and fellow students? Yes, you will get to know them through multiple advising sessions, classroom time, online discussions, and other events.
Can I complete the MPS degree completely on campus? Yes, you can complete our MPS degree on campus with the help from our recommended program sequences, though some of your classes make still take place online.

Is the MPS program accredited? Fort Hays State University is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Whether you're pursuing an online bachelor's or master's degree, or a specialized program credential, you can be confident that your courses meet the rigorous accreditation requirements. The MPS program does not have a specialized accrediting body.
How many courses are required to earn the MPS? The MPS program is a 30 credit-hour program which is 10, three credit-hour courses.
Can courses from other graduate programs be transferred into the MPS degree? Yes, this is certainly a possibility. Up to 6 credits can potentially be transferred into the MPS in Organizational Leadership program. Contact Leadership Programs to discuss the process for accepting these course transfers.
How long will it take to complete the MPS program? It can take you as little as 18 months, or longer. Depending on your situation, we have recommended program sequences to help guide you.
How long are semesters in the MPS program? The fall and spring semesters are each 16 weeks long and summer terms are 8 weeks long. We do not offer courses during intersession (winter break).
What kind of financial aid assistance is available for MPS students? There are a lot of options for financial aid for our graduate students.
How many credits do you recommend each semester for MPS students? Nine (9) credit hours is considered full-time for graduate students; however, some students take as few as three or six credit hours. Please visit with your advisor to discuss the appropriate number of hours for your situation. We also offer recommended program sequences to help guide you.
