VALUE Scholars attend NCLC 2016
During the weekend of February 12 - 14, 2016, nine Voss Advanced Leadership Undergraduate Experience scholars attended the University of Arizona's National Collegiate Leadership Conference in Tucson, AZ. The conference's theme was "Start a Ripple, Make a Wave."
Throughout the weekend, the students attended various workshops designed to further develop their leadership skills in and out of the classroom. Workshop topics included leadership in student organizations, social justice leadership, and leadership strategies. Students also participated in the annual case study competition, which allowed them to offer recommendations to improve the seasonal gleaning program hosted by the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
All nine scholars completed the conference receiving a Leadership Enrichment Certificated, which validated their educational experience and dedication to further developing the leadership skills they will use in the future.
