Kaylee Willems
Kaylee Willems is from Goodland, KS, and pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Human Resources. Kaylee joined the VALUE Program because it is a great opportunity to grow and practice her leadership skills. After graduating, she would like to work in Human Resources. Kaylee is involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Society of Resource Management and the VFW Auxiliary. She also enjoys volunteering at her hometown church and the American Red Cross Blood Drives. Along with this, Kaylee enjoys working out, attending Encounter, watching the Bachelorette and spending intentional quality time with her friends. Congratulations, Kaylee!
Madison Crabtree
Madison Crabtree is from Spring Hill, KS, and is pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership. Mattie has looked forward to the VALUE Program since she joined the Leadership Studies program. She decided to do Value because of the opportunities to be creative when making an impact within a nonprofit or corporate setting. Mattie most looks forward to applying her leadership skills to create a positive change within the Hays community. Mattie is a Mat Cat wrestling manager along with being involved in the Graduate School office, Residential Hall Association, Tigers in Service and the new Leadership Studies Association. Mattie’s hobbies include hanging out with her friends and family, cooking, crafting, traveling and cheering on the Chiefs every Sunday. Congratulations, Mattie!
Niassa Harris-Wazoua
Niassa Harris-Wazoua is from West Palm Beach, FL, and is pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership. Niassa joined the VALUE Program because she was looking for an opportunity to improve her leadership skills along with wanting to explore the different tracks that leadership has to offer. In the future, Niassa would like to use her skills learned to work as a consular officer at a US embassy or work as a strategic planner for businesses. Niassa is a women’s ministry leader at her church along with being involved in development of community outreach programs for her city’s underserved members. Niassa hobbies include baking, watching foreign films and going out to dinner and dancing with her friends. Congratulations, Niassa!
Liz Atwater
Liz Atwater is from Minnesota and is pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership. Liz joined the VALUE Program to further develop her leadership skills and be a strong example to her daughters and other young women. Liz has been in the workforce for over 25 years is property management, accounting, human resources and administration. She returned to part-time college in 2018 and is expected to graduate in the spring of 2023. Liz is involved in the FHSU Staff Senate where she sits as an executive officer. She enjoys playing board games, going to theatre, baking and spending time with her family, friends and pets. Congratulations, Liz!
Slater Y. Heglin
Slater Y. Heglin is from Ulysses, KS, and is pursuing a degree in Business Education with a Concentration in Talent Development. Along with this, Slater has received certificates in Business Management, Organizational Leadership, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Banking. Slater joined the VALUE program to use his collaborative and servant leadership skills to make a difference in the lives of others. Slater looks forward to creating a program in honor of a lost loved one’s memory and legacy. Upon completing his MBA, Slater hopes to pursue a career in the training and organizational development industry. Slater is involved in the Society for Human Resource, Tigers Forever, FHSU University-wide Homecoming Committee, Honor Society and Christian Challenge. He enjoys listening to leadership and faith-based books and going to garage sales. Congratulations, Slater!
Bella Artman
Bella Artman is from Whitewater, KS, and is double majoring in International Business and Economics and Organizational Leadership. Bella joined the VALUE program because she knew that she would be able to apply everything she has learned in her leadership classes to real-world issues. Bella’s future career goals include finding a job that she is passionate about and working towards improving the lives of others. Bella is involved in Student Government, Tree Campus Committee, Special Events Committee, Move On and the ACLU. Belle enjoys embroidery, watching movies, baking, a good nap and work. Cole Berry
Cole Berry is from Topeka, KS, and is pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership. Cole joined the VALUE program because of the opportunities for personal growth and to learn more in-depth about leadership. In the future, Cole would like to go into Youth/Children’s ministry. Cole is involved in leadership roles through Christian Challenge and FHSU Bands. In his free time, Cole enjoys spending time outdoors, playing spikeball, doing anything with a frisbee and spending time with his friends and family. Congratulations, Cole!
Ryan Will
Ryan Will is from Hays, KS, and is pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Leadership Studies. Ryan joined the VALUE program to help develop his leadership skills through challenging, meaningful, and fulfilling work. In the future, Ryan would like to pursue a career in Industrial Psychology. Ryan is a member of the FHSU Concert Choir and the Fort Hays Singers. He has enjoyed the travel opportunities choir has given him, most notably their recent trip to Hawaii to perform at the 80th anniversary of Pearl Harbor in December of 2022. A few of Ryan’s hobbies include playing video games, soccer and restoring vintage video game consoles. Congratulations, Ryan!
Connor Harris
Connor Harris is from Topeka, KS, and is pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership and minoring in Sociology. By graduation, Connor will have received certificates in grant writing and community development as well. Connor joined the VALUE program because of the structure and support provided by the program and his love for serving others. In the future, Connor would like to serve communities by being a resource for non-profits, or to potentially operate one himself. In his free time, Connor enjoys spending time in nature, going out on drives, and spending time out in the community. Congratulations, Connor!
