Custer Hall
Custer Hall provides a secure living environment for the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science (KAMS) students that attend Fort Hays State University. Though KAMS students are high school students, Custer Hall provides many of the same leadership and social opportunities as the traditional residence halls, including their own Custer Hall Council.
Custer Hall is the oldest residential building on campus, having started construction in 1922. However, it is still in great condition today, and houses many residents as well as offices. It was named after Elizabeth Custer, the wife of General George Armstrong Custer.
