Tiger Place
Tiger Place provides a new living experience at FHSU, offering students suite-style living with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a common living space, and a kitchenette. This new living space is available to upperclassmen as well as freshmen. It consists of two distinct buildings, Agnew Hall and Heather Hall, which come together to form this unique community.
Opened in 2012, Agnew Hall is a part of the two-building Tiger Place complex. It took the place of the original Agnew Hall and kept the namesake of Elizabeth Jane Agnew, a professor and Dean of Women at FHSU from 1910-1943. Heather Hall was named after Jack Heather, professor of radio and television at FHSU. Heather was an essential part of establishing what is now the Informatics department. The original Heather Hall, located between Malloy Hall and Forsyth Library, was renamed as construction for the new Center for Media Studies was underway, repurposing the old Heather Hall and giving way for the new Tiger Place building to continue the name in his honor. Heather Hall opened in 2013.
