Our Mascot
The history of the tiger mascot dates back to 1914 under President William A. Lewis. Over time, various renditions of mascots were used inconsistently and often hand drawn or hand carved for printed programs. Tigers with consistent use in athletic programs, Reveille yearbooks, and other documentation in the University Archives are noted below with recorded dates. View the Historical Timeline of the University Mascot below.

Unofficial Mascots
The following Tiger logos do not have enough consistent documentation to determine whether they were actually mascots of the University or merely unofficial tiger drawings used for select athletic programs, promotional products, or publications.
