External Grants for Faculty and Staff
Seeking funding for scholarly activities can be overwhelming but the Office of Scholarship and Sponsored Projects (OSSP) is available to assist faculty, staff, and students throughout the process. The following resources will serve as a starting place:

Funding opportunities are made available by federal, state, foundation, and corporate organizations. The OSSP receives information on upcoming funding opportunities but you can explore popular resources in the following list.
- InfoEd SPIN
FHSU has a subscription to InfoEd SPIN, the world’s largest database of sponsored funding opportunities. SPIN can be accessed using on-campus computers or remotely through a VPN. Faculty are encouraged to create an account to receive email notifications about grant opportunities. - AASCU/Grant Resource Center (GRC)
The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) offers current information about grant opportunities, provides a library of funded proposals, and can provide additional resources for member institutions. Contact OSSP for account login information.
