Public Computer Logins
All public computers in Forsyth Library require a login. The computers will be designated as either a TigerNetID computer or a Guest computer with color coded signs. Logins help increase security, provide a consistent user experience across computer labs on campus, and make it easier to print and save materials.
TigerNetID Computers
To use these computers, you must have an activated TigerNetID. Computers that require a TigerNetID to login are labeled with a teal sign. TigerNetID computers are located on the main level, computer lab, and upper level. Read the TigerNetID Computer FAQ.
Guest Computers
To use these computers, you must visit the Welcome Desk to obtain a guest login (a TigerNetID will not work on these computers). Computers that require a guest login are labeled with an orange sign. Two guest computers are located on the main level, one is located on the upper level, and the microfilm computer on the lower level is also designated as a guest computer. Read the Guest Computer FAQ.
FAQ TigerNetID Computers
How do I know if I have an activated TigerNetID?
If you’re having trouble logging into TigerNetID computers, your TigerNetID may not be activated. You can check the Activation Status of your TigerNetID and if needed, you can Activate Your TigerNetID here. Please allow up to 4 hours before your TigerNetID will allow you to login. Please contact TigerTech for additional assistance.
How do I save a document?
Save to a flash drive or Google Drive so you can access your files from anywhere. If you save a file locally to the computer, it will save to your My Documents folder which will only be accessible from other FHSU campus lab computers.
How do I print a document?
By logging into the computer with your TigerNetID, you are automatically logged into TigerPrint, so you just click Print. For more information visit the TigerPrint FAQ.
How do I log out?
Click the windows icon, select your profile icon, and select “Sign Out”. Do not leave your computer logged in and unattended. When you log in with your TigerNetID, your TigerPrint account and your printing money are directly linked to your computer session.
Help! My computer locked me out?
After 15 minutes of inactivity, all public computers will automatically lock for security purposes, requiring your TigerNetID to be entered again to continue working on the computer. As long as the computer didn’t restart, your work should be as you left it. But always remember to save early and save often.
How do I use Adobe Creative Cloud software?
Adobe Creative Cloud software now requires a login to use these programs. Login with your TigerNetID.
